Phobias

 

A phobia is a type of anxiety disorder. It is an extreme and irrational form of fear or anxiety triggered by a particular object, place, situation, feeling or animal. There are many different types of phobias such as:

  • Agoraphobia (fear of open or crowded space)

  • Acrophobia (fear of heights)

  • Trypophobia (fear of clusters of small holes or bumps)

  • Claustrophobia (fear of tight spaces)

  • Arachnophobia (fear of spiders or other arachnids)

  • Hydrophobia (fear of water)

  • Cynophobia (fear of dogs)

  • Aerophobia (fear of flying)

  • Hemophobia (fear of blood)

  • Trypanophobia (fear of needles)

  • Ophidiophobia (fear of snakes) 

  • Dentophobia (fear of dentist)
