Counselling (person-centred therapy)

“The person-centred counsellor is not an expert; rather the client is seen as an expert on themselves, and the person-centred counsellor encourages the client to explore and understand themselves and their troubles”.

Maslow therapies endeavours to deliver a range of high-quality therapeutic support to our clients. As such, we offer additional talking therapies to ensure we meet the diversity of our client’s needs. Counselling or Person-centred therapy is a less structured form of therapy founded upon the primary view that humans possess an innate tendency to develop towards their full potential. However, this ability can become blocked or distorted by certain life experiences (e.g., depression, anxiety, trauma, bereavement); particularly those which affect our sense of value.

At Maslow Therapies, our therapists work to understand an individual’s experiences from their perspective, consequently building a strong therapeutic relationship. Our therapists have experience working with people experiencing psychological distress and a range of mental/physical health difficulties.
